Paul Revere Park Assault Victim Dies, Investigation Continues
The homeless man assaulted Monday night or Tuesday morning passed away Friday night, confirms district attorney's office.
A homeless man found beaten and lying in Paul Revere Park Tuesday has died. A spokesman at Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley’s office confirmed the victim died sometime Friday night.
Conley’s office declined to identify the victim. No cause of death has yet been determined. The office will continue to investigate the death.
Conley and Massachusetts State Police have asked for the public's assistance in the case, asking anyone who saw anything unusual in the park between Monday and Tuesday to call 617-727-8817 and speak to detectives.
According to Conley’s office, the man was apparently assaulted on the fishing pier sometime between Monday night and Tuesday. State troopers found the 45-year-old man in the park, suffering from a head injury. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital at that time.
