Today is Friday, Nov. 4. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. There's a new show opening at the StoveFactory Gallery on Medford Street this weekend. The “All for the PULP of It” exhibition features more than 30 artists’ work which -- all of it “on” or “about” paper. There's an opening reception tonight. For more details, check out the event listing.
2. Are you banking locally? If you're not, columnist Jack Kelly says you should be. Read his argument for moving your money.
3. Did you lose a gold watch on Halloween? I heard from a Patch reader that her son came home with a woman's gold watch in his candy bag -- and she'd like to return to its rightful owner. If that's you, get in touch with me (charlestown@patch.com) and I'll connect you.
4. Don't forget to vote on Tuesday. For info on what's on the ballot in Charlestown (not much!), take a look at this voting guide.
5. Today's forecast: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 51.
