Today is Thursday, Nov. 10. Here are five things you need to know.
1. The annual Harvest on Vine fundraiser at the Navy Yard Bistro is scheduled for this weekend. Have a delicious lunch on Sunday and proceeds will support the neighborhood's only food pantry. Ticket info.
2. Been curious about the Harvard-Kent? Get a peak inside, meet the teachers and learn about the programs available to students there at an open house today. It starts at 12:30 and you can find more info here.
3. This Friday over at the USS Constitution Museum you can get your very own silhouette portrait. The museum hosted this event last year -- a sort of Veterans Day event. You can get a sense of what silhouette artist Carol Lebeaux does in this video I shot then. For more details on this year's event, click here.
4. You don't usually see thousands of senior citizens gathering in one place to protest. But that's exactly what happened on Wednesday in Boston, by the Wang Theater. Seniors marched to Sen. Kerry and Sen. Brown's offices to protest cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Check out our coverage.
5. Today's forecast: Showers, mainly after 11 a.m. High near 63.
