Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

From the Editor: I'm Leaving Charlestown (But Not Patch)

Today's my last day as the editor in Charlestown -- and tomorrow's my first as a manager for Patch's South Shore and Cape sites.

Hey, Charlestown.

When Patch hired me last summer to be a local editor, I had my pick of the Boston neighborhoods. I chose Charlestown, even without knowing much about it, because I got the sense that it was special, and packed with amazing stories and a rich and wide cross-section of people who give it a real sense of place. I was right and I openly brag that I landed the best Boston site for Patch. That is 100 percent because of you. So thanks for that.

It's been wonderful working here as your local editor, but today's my last day on the job. I'm moving on to a management role at Patch -- helping to coordinate our sites on the South Shore and Cape Cod.

And! Just as I leave, you've got a new local editor stepping in: Meet Matt Casey, an editor that's been working in Reading for the past year. Get in touch with him now on with any news tips or questions: mattc@patch.com.

Take care, Charlestown, and take care of each other -- like you do so well. You have a really fantastic community and I appreciate you letting me be a part of it over the last 12 months.

Nicely done Kristy, your even-keel stewardship, participatory nature and sharp editorial skills made Patch readable, even enjoyable at times.
