1. Bike meeting coming up. At 7:00 PM on Wednesday June 18th in the Community Room of the Mary Colbert Apartments, located at the rear of 20 Devens Street, the Basic Services Committee of the Charlestown Neighborhood Council will hold a public hearing on the City of Boston's proposal to install bicycle lanes between Thompson Square and City Square along Main and Warren Streets. 2. Keep the trees? The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will host a public hearing today to discuss the proposed removal of three public shade trees at 75 West School Street in Charlestown. It will begin at 10 a.m. on in the third floor Conference Room of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department located at 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, Roxbury.  

3. Norman B. Leventhal Park Anniversary Celebration: The 20-year celebration for the Norman B. Leventhal Park is going on at noon today. The anniversary was postponed from last week in the face of bad weather. Come celebrate 320 years of this vibrant park at the Norman B. Leventhal Park, Post Office Square

4. Copley Square Farmers Market: Can't wait for SoWa on the weekend? The Copley Square Farmers Market returns at 11 a.m. today. Twenty vendors will have stands up, selling local fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheeses, jellies, jams, meats and plenty more. Come grab some delicious and healthy food for you and the family.

5. Bay Village Book Club: The Bay Village Club is reading “Midnight in Peking” by Paul French. “Historian and China expert Paul French at last uncovers the truth behind this notorious murder, and offers a rare glimpse of the last days of colonial Peking.” The club meets at 69 Church St, Boston at 7:00 p.m.
