Five Things: New Rutherford/Sullivan Meeting

And a chance for some intense fitness on Saturday.

Today is Friday, March 23. Here are five things you need to know:

1. New Sullivan/Rutherford Meeting.  The Transportation Committee of the Charlestown Neighbor Council will host senior representatives of the Boston Transportation Department, BTD, on April 11th at 7 PM at the newly relocated Knights of Columbus at 545 Medford Street.  BTD will address revisions to the planned renovations to Rutherford Avenue and Sullivan Square.  For more information or to answer any questions feel free to contact Paul Clausen at 617.312.4729. 

2. Intense fitness. Ultimate Bootcamp will hold an this Saturday in the Navy Yard. The one-time Ultimate Bootcamp Blast Class lasts 60-minutes and is designed for those who can jog one mile comfortably. Workouts burn up to 700 calories and include quick-paced agility exercises, cardio drills, partner relays, sports and more. The class costs $20, and you have to preregister. For those who have never attended a Bootcamp class before, they can register for VIP access at www.ultimatebootcamp.com and get the class for just $5.

3. Chatter about cabbies. While we haven’t seen many votes about whether or not the city’s medallion system is off-kilter, we have had about the professionalism of the city’s cab drivers. What do you think?
