Firefighters Respond to Fire in Navy Yard
A car fire in a Navy Yard garage generated heavy smoke in the neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were on the scene for a second fire in Charlestown on Tuesday: this time a car fire in a garage at Flagship Wharf in the Navy Yard.
Around 1 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of heavy smoke at the property. By 1:30 p.m., the fire was contained by the smoke persisted, Boston Fire officials are reporting on Twitter.
Earlier on Tuesday, firefighters put out a fire at senior citizen apartment complex on Ferrin Street.
