Data: Warren Takes Charlestown in Second Quarter

Warren narrowly leads Brown in Boston fundraising.

Elizabeth Warren outraised Sen. Scott Brown in Boston in the second quarter of 2012, according to recently-released Federal Elections Commission data, but not by much.

The challenger hauled $451,000 compared to Brown’s $405,000, capturing 18 of the 30 Boston zip codes represented in the last quarter’s filing.

In Charlestown, Warren raised 50 percent more than her opponent, and clocked two-thirds more transactions.

While Brown may have come close to outraising his challenger in the city—grabbing 47 percent of all funds raised—Warren appears to be far ahead of the senator in Boston supporters.

Her campaign recorded a total of 850 transactions compared to Brown’s 497. While some of those transactions are refunds to donors who have given too much, they serve as a rough barometer for total number of supporters.

Brown made his strongest showings in the North End and the city’s Fort Point area, where he outraised his challenger by nearly $130,000.

Narrowly leading by dollars. But by number of donors she's leading big. And since the number of donors is more highly correlated with votes than money raised, things aren't looking good for Brown.

"things aren't looking good for Brown." Why? Because a bunch of neighborhoods in Boston say so? MA is big state. Chief Warren doesn't stand a chance, but it's good that she's collecting millions from LA & NY, especially since she'll be representing the citizens of those cities/states as a MA Senator.

She doesn't stand a chance... but she'll be representing LA and NY as a MA senator. This is what happens to logic when overcooked in contemptuous bias.

Come on Jay. Don't be like the media, cutting and pasting my words in a failed attempt to mislead people reading this. If you're going to quote me, quote exactly what I said. For a candidate that is against the machine of national politics, for her to collect money from citizens of cities and states she doesn't represent seems a tad bit ironic, don't you think? Wait, I know the answer to this. Never mind.

Professor Elizabeth Warren talks to us like we are children telling us Fairy tales. How about the story she told about her Grandmother : The only problem was her Grandmother would have been two years old driving a Wagon Train

I think we have beaten this political horse to death!
Enough is enough with the warren issue, didnt read any of it, don't care about it , resolve it by voting on election day instead of tying up this site with political BS.
