Comments Keep Rolling in on Rutherford Ave Project
Cookie Giordano's column is keeping the neighborhood talking -- and asking questions -- about the proposed redesign for Rutherford Ave.
Today is Tuesday, Oct. 25. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. It's pretty clear the community has a lot to say about the Rutherford Ave redesign project. We're seeing all kinds of fantastic discussion -- and lots of great questions being raised -- on Kathy Giordano's column from last week. Kathy has been watching neighborhood issues for decades, including this one. If you haven't read it yet, check out her perspective. And add yours.
2. Get in the Halloween spirit next week. The Charlestown Library is hosting a reading on Thursday, Oct. 27 with Mark Bender. He'll tell spooky stories (starting at 4 p.m.) And every child that attends the program will be able to select two free books at the end of story time.
3. There's a Neighborhood Council meeting tonight to discuss a project under construction at 55 School St. Officials are just looking at the proposed curb cuts. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Knights.
5. Today's forecast: Sunny, with a high near 60. Some more wind: gusts between 9 and 17 mph. Some as high as 30 mph.
