Boston's City Hall To Go truck will visit Charlestown on Friday, Jan. 4.

The bright red mobile City Hall had its maiden voyage on Dec. 6 and since then has been traveling to all the neighborhoods of Boston, giving residents an opportunity to take care of city business without going far.

“‘City Hall To Go’ builds on our mission to shake up the status quo in municipal services,” Mayor Thomas Menino said in December. “This pilot offers one more way for Boston residents to get personal, timely service from the city, and makes it even easier by cutting out the trip to City Hall.”

The truck will be parked at the corner of Green and Main streets in Charlestown, near Thompson Square, on Friday from 1-3 p.m.

There is no need to schedule an appointment; just drop by to:

• Pay or dispute a parking ticket;
• Request or renew a residential parking sticker;
• Sign up for snow alerts; 
• Register to vote;
• Request a birth, death or marriage certificate;
• Get a dog license;
• Pay property and excise taxes, and more.
