UPDATE, 2 p.m.: A woman with burns and firefighter with cut to his face were taken to the hospital. Fire deamage estimated at $75,000.
Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at 7 Phipps St. just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Reports say that EMS were requested for burn victim.
There was heavy smoke showing from the garden-style apartments when firefighters arrived, according to public safety radio transmissions.
Boston Police have blocked off traffic on Phipps and Main streets to the rotary, according to the department's official Twitter account.
