The Charlestown Boys & Girls Club on Thursday unveiled its brand-new “Music Clubhouse.”

Funded by the Music & Youth Initiative, the Music Clubhouse is a state-of-the-art recording studio and band-practice area.

Music and Youth Initiative develops and funds after-school music education andenrichment programs. The Boys and Girls Club's Music Clubhouse Program gives young people in underserved urban communities the opportunity to build self-confidence andinterpersonal skills while fostering an appreciation of music.

The Studio Clubhouse will focus on music recording, video production, lyric writing, beat making and vocals.
