Q: Before opening Boston Intuitive I hear you spent some time in the corporate world? What was that like?

A:  I had a very successful hotel career – even spending some time working at the Plaza Hotel in NYC while there I managed 180 employees in the Rooms Division. I was very successful in my career because I could figure things out intuitively, but I really was a square peg in a round hole.

Q: How did you get started as an intuitive?

A: I come from a very intuitive family. When growing up I never new anything different – I always used my intuition. My mom and grandmother were both intuitives. Before opening my business I trained with John Holland, Carole Lynne, Brenda Lawrence, Nancy Garber, Carole Wendall, and astrologer Francis McEvoy.  I’m an on the job learner and got my start working at nearby places including: Regina Russell’s Tea Room, Open Doors and Seven Stars in Cambridge. I definitely built my business on referrals from some of the top people in the industry.

Q: What do you love about your work now?

A: My services are centered around healing. Very often my clients will come to me in crisis and it is very rewarding when my clients have their own “A-HA” moments.

Q: Who are your clients?

A:  My clients are males and females ranging in age, from 18 – 80.  Many clients are business people, and some are unemployed. I read as far away as Japan and England. I would say I do about 30 percent of readings in my home and 70 percent on the phone or off-site. Many of my clients are referrals from other clients.

Q: What other services do you offer besides readings?

A: I teach Emotional Freedom Technique to eliminate fear, stress and anxiety, provide intuitive business consultations and also offer Space Clearing for prosperity and abundance. I am also a Reiki Master and Energy healer.

Q: Tell me about some of your work in the community

A: I feel fortunate to be part of the community in Charlestown, I have found people here to be extremely open-minded. To give back, I have donated my services in a number of ways. I’ve tutored for The Charlestown Boys & Girls Club, was a volunteer board member for the Charlestown Business Association and the Friends of the Charlestown Library. I’ve worked with Sue Lynch’s There and Back Again organization to teach the Emotional Freedom Technique to combat veterans. I also volunteered recently at the Zelma Lacey House where I will soon be offering classes for the community.

Q: So you’ve been here in Charlestown for 23 years – what’s your favorite spot?

A:  When the weather is nice I love to take a 45 minute walk through town every day. Historically speaking, my favorite area is City Square Park, but I also feel very peaceful walking along the Pier (Harborwalk) in the Navy Yard. I’m a big fan of the Warren Tavern, Navy Yard Bistro, Max and Dylan’s, Zume’s and Sorelle’s (City Square).

I can’t tell you how many of my clients have never been to Charlestown, and when they do come here, they fall in love. I always make sure to tell my clients to come to Charlestown and make a day of it, there’s so much to see.
