Today is Tuesday, Nov. 23. Here are three things you need to know today.
1. Got a question about your water? Or sewer?
A representative from the city's Water and Sewer Commission will spend a couple hours in the neighborhood today. If you've got any queries or complaints about your service -- or bills related to your service -- now's the time for some face-to-face. A rep will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Golden Age Senior Center.
2. RSVP for the Recovery House event
The Charlestown Recovery House is hosting their big fundraiser on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. For a $50 donation you get brunch and a show from serious comedians, including Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke, Tony V and Patty Ross. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the Knights. For more details and to RSVP, visit the event page on our site.
3. What do the ingredients for 300 Thanksgiving dinners look like?
Today's the day we'll find out. Volunteers at the Harvest on Vine food pantry are distributing their Thanksgiving baskets today. They include all the ingredients you need to make a Turkey Day dinner. The baskets were purchased with donations from individuals like you. Patch is going to swing by the distribution and take a few photos of this community effort. Stay tuned.
