Today is Friday, Dec. 3. Here are three things you need to know today.
1. Dine with St. Nick
The guy in the red suit will be at St. Francis de Sales tonight, eating dinner and dessert with kids from the neighborhood. Church organizers were looking for an RSVP on this event, so if you haven't already signed up, be sure to call the rectory to see if there's space. The evening will also include a Christmas shop where children can buy some affordable gifts. The event starts at 6 p.m.
2. Support your small biz neighbors in the North End
Tonight's the 4th Annual North End Holiday Shopping Stroll. Shops on Salem and Hanover streets will be offering refreshments and discounts. There will be prizes and revelry and a cannoli or three. Looks like the weather will be mild enough for a walk over the bridge...
3. Or, just take a breather
Because there is a lot going on over the next two days in Charlestown, and you want to have the energy to get through it. Check Patch later on today for a guide to holiday events happening in the neighborhood this weekend. Or read up now on the Holiday Stroll, the Warren Prescott fair and the Warren Tavern open house.
