YMCA “Get Fit, Give Back” Campaign Encourages Community Health & Holiday Giving
The Charlestown YMCA is teaming up with the Greater Boston Food Bank to support healthy living and fight hunger this fall through the “Get Fit, Give Back” campaign. From November 7 - 11, new members who bring in five non-perishable food items will have their $50 YMCA joiner fee waived and receive 3 free sessions of health & wellness coaching, valued at $150. Current members who donate will be entered into a raffle for great prizes.
As a cause-driven organization, the Y is committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. “A strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors,” says Ashley Filipp, Director of Membership Operations. “We hope that through ‘Get Fit, Give Back’ people are encouraged to take a step towards a healthier life and to also help a neighbor in need.”
