Red Sox Delivered 1,200 Thanksgiving Turkeys To Food Pantries Throughout New England

  • December 11, 2012

Boston Red Sox employees delivered 1,200 frozen turkeys to 12 food pantries and food banks throughout New England on Monday, November 19. Gail Cummings of Dorchester and Renee Poutre of Cambridge were among Red Sox employees that stopped by Northeast Kingdom Community Action in St. Johnsbury, VT to give the community a Thanksgiving treat.

The turkey deliveries were part of the club’s “100 Acts of Kindness” initiative. As a way to highlight and support the important work done by the many charitable institutions throughout New England and beyond, the Red Sox have been engaging in "100 Acts of Kindness" with various not-for-profit organizations during the 100th anniversary season of Fenway Park in 2012.
