Just want all the Parents of Charlestown to know that the Bunkerhill Pool is Opening today!  Thanks to Beth Burton and her staff at the Community Center.  But this is more of a warning, please parents  let your children know how dangerous it is swimming after hours.  I know we all did it as kids but now that I am an adult, a mother, and a concerned citizen I can see why our parents told us not to do it.  If the kids are drinking (which some do) and something happens in that pool behind those bars it can take a few minutes for Police or an ambulance, to get to them.  Talk to your kids, and let them know that there are cameras watching  who goes in and out of that pool 24 hours a day.  So if something happens  the staff at the Pool and the Community Center will know who, what, where, when, and how.  This will not be a repeat of last years mess when someone kept breaking the bars and getting into the pool.  This time we will be able to see, and trust me they will be prosecuted.  The Pool closes at 8pm, after that your children are trespassing.  Please talk to your kids, let us make this a safe and happy summer.
