Healthy Children, Teens, and Young Adults

6 to 10 Years of Age

Needed for Research Studies at Massachusetts General Hospital

What we study:

Ø      The brain: how it works and how it develops

Ø      The genetic basis of individual differences in the brain, cognition and personality

What we do:

Ø      Pediatric Imaging: We use the latest, safest and non-invasive MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) technology available to take pictures of the brain

Ø      Neurocognitive Testing: Children will solve puzzles, play computer games and answer questions

Ø      Genetics: We will use a cheek swab to collect saliva

What we hope to accomplish:

Ø      To assemble a large scale pediatric imaging and genetics database

Ø      Discover more effective ways of improving the health and education of children

What do you get?

Ø      You will be compensated for your time ($20 to $50 per hour) and traveling costs

Ø      You will be given a colored image of your child’s brain!

Determining study eligibility requires a short phone screening.
