This year's New England Home Show offers a special twist! Because singing in the shower just isn't enough at times, the New England Home Show is partnering with WXRV | 92.5 the River to present a battle-of-the-bands competition for emerging singer songwriters as part of the River’s Home Grown Music Showcase, a nightly radio program on 92.5 FM that spotlights up-and-coming local area musicians.
Beginning February 7th, bands looking to get their big break can submit a You Tube video of their performance at www.theriverboston.com. Three finalists will be selected by The River's very own DJs to perform Saturday, February 23 from 1pm to 3pm at the New England Home Show. The winner will have the opportunity to open at the 12th annual Riverfront Music Festival in Newburyport, MA. The winner will also perform live at The River Music Hall and have their song played on the 92.5 The River. Irene Collins, host of the River’s Home Grown Showcase will emcee the competition and will judge the winning band alongside other Boston music industry experts. The River’s Home Grown Music Showcase has helped launch the careers of numerous local bands like Air Traffic Controller, The Adam Ezra Group and The Brew. The Home Grown Music Showcase at the New England Home Show is one event you don't want to miss!

Exhibitor Highlight, RevoluSun
When a New England Home Show visitor stops by the RevoluSun booth, they will have the ability to evaluate their home energy expenditures over the next 25 years. In addition, they can view their roof in "real time" to see what type of solar potential they possess. Our experts can even go as far as giving them an estimate right there at the booth! And it goes one step further - if an attendee signs up for a Free Home Energy Analysis, RevoluSun will present them with a "Golden Ticket.” The ticket must NOT be opened until after our solar experts hands them a proposal, the homeowner will then receive whatever "prize" is labeled on their ticket. Prizes range from $250-$5,000. RevoluSun will only be giving away one $5,000 prize, but there will be multiple prize giveaways of all the other denominations. Finally, be sure to catch RevoluSun's live seminars Thursday, February 21st through Sunday, February 24th. This is one exhibitor you don't want to miss!
